The victim told officers that he was forced into a vehicle, was told that he was going to be killed, and was driven to another residence in the block of Old Roswell Rd.
While being taken out of the vehicle, the victim managed to break-free and successfully ran away and notified police. Detectives from our Major Case Squad began an immediate investigation, and less than 24 hours later identified the suspect, Mr.
Detectives also discovered that Moreno-Arroyo had an active arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault out of Roswell for an unrelated case. Once Moreno-Arroyo was located, officers took him into custody for the Roswell warrant while detectives continued their investigation into the kidnapping.

Because the investigation continues, we cannot comment more on those details. This investigation remains active and additional criminal charges are likely. Two important takeaways we want our community to know. This was not a kidnapping of a child, and the victim and offender are known to each other.

Officer Goodwin observed a vehicle engulfed in flames following a single vehicle crash. Officer Goodwin quickly responded and removed the driver from the vehicle, preventing the driver from sustaining any serious injury or burns.
